Buddy

Buddy is a German Shorthaired Pointer.  He has some pretty big paws to fill (he’s Coco’s successor).  Buddy was born in June of 2013.  His official title is “Guard Dog???” but he’s really just a greeter and lover.

Peter

As you might expect from a third generation jeweler Peter cut his first gemstone at the age of eight.  At age ten, he was making silver jewelry and at twelve he started an apprenticeship with a Master Goldsmith.  After years of training and working on thousands of pieces of jewelry, he became a Master Goldsmith himself. He opened White Mountain Jewelers to the public in 1995.  He combined new technology with an old school craft. He loves his dog and you will find he always has his "Buddy" in the store. When Peter is not making jewelry, you can probably find him hiking or riding horses.

Valerie

Valerie re-joined the team at White Mountain Jewelers in June 2020. She worked at WMJ for five years previously (2003-2008) and has returned to the trade with a passion for providing excellent customer service.  She takes great pleasure in assisting customers in finding that special piece of jewelry which they will treasure for many years to come.  Outside of working at WMJ, Valerie enjoys walking with her dog Titan, playing pickleball and golf.

Shelby

Just barely into his second decade on Earth, Shelby has a surprising amount of art in his background.  He is a glass blower, gemstone cutter (total opal fiend), silversmith, and now a goldsmith who is enjoying his ventures into custom-designed jewelry.

WMJ HISTORY

Like so many other industries, the jewelry industry has been evolving to meet the new challenges of our modern world.  White Mountain Jewelers has positioned itself to be on the forefront of these changes.  They were among the first jewelry stores in northeast Arizona to:

• Own a laser welding machine that can assist the jeweler in repairing jewelry that was once either not repairable or very expensive to repair.

• Own and operate three dimensional CAD software and hardware.  This allows them to design and produce fabulous designs that once would have been difficult or expensive otherwise.

• Have a computerized engraving machine.  Their customers can get almost anything engraved (metal, crystal, plastic, wood, cardboard, etc.) with almost any design, sketch, or font lettering that they desire.

• Attach a video camera to a binocular microscope and a monitor so their customers can see diamonds and jewelry under high magnification.  This allows the jeweler to point out various features of the gem or jewelry to the customer.

Few jewelers throughout Arizona, the United States, and even the world have one of the items listed above.  White Mountain Jewelers has all five!  They combine the very best of old world craftsmanship with the most modern technology available.  Thus you can be secure with the knowledge you will receive the best there is to offer for your jewelry experience.
